Day 1 – Arrival in Sri Lanka (Colombo)

Our journey began from India with arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo. We were warmly welcomed by Sri Lankan tour representatives, reflecting the island’s famous hospitality. A smooth transfer followed to our seaside hotel in Mount Lavinia.

The rest of the day was spent relaxing after travel, enjoying coastal views and preparing for the exciting journey ahead.

Day 2 – Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage & Sigiriya Rock Fortress

A heartwarming start to the tour with a visit to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, a sanctuary dedicated to caring for injured and abandoned elephants by providing food, shelter, and medical care.

Watching the elephants bathe and interact freely was an unforgettable experience and a beautiful example of wildlife compassion.

Later, we explored the world-famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress, an ancient royal citadel dramatically rising from the plains. The iconic Lion’s Paw entrance, ancient ruins, and panoramic views symbolized the power and grandeur of an old kingdom.

Day 3 – Sacred City of Anuradhapura

We explored Anuradhapura, one of Sri Lanka’s most sacred ancient cities and a significant spiritual center.

The highlight was visiting the majestic Ruwanwelisaya Stupa, a magnificent Buddhist monument visited by pilgrims from around the world. The city is filled with historic stupas, monasteries, and centuries-old spiritual heritage.

Day 4 – Dambulla Rock Cave Temple & Kandy City Tour

At the UNESCO World Heritage Site Dambulla Rock Cave Temple, we witnessed stunning cave shrines adorned with ancient murals and beautifully preserved Buddha statues, including reclining Buddha figures symbolizing Nirvana.

Later, we enjoyed a cultural city tour of Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka, surrounded by hills, traditions, and rich historical significance.

Day 5 – Nuwara Eliya & Ramayana Trail

A scenic drive through lush greenery and tea plantations took us to Nuwara Eliya, often called “Little England” for its cool climate and colonial charm.

We visited a spice garden, explored a tea factory to see how world-famous Ceylon tea is processed, and relaxed by the peaceful Gregory Lake.

Spiritual highlights included darshan at Hanuman Temple, a visit to Seetha Amman Temple believed to be part of the ancient Ashok Vatika, and seeing the sacred Footprint of Ravana, deeply connected to the Ramayana legend.

Day 6 – Nuwara Eliya to Bentota

We traveled downhill from the cool hill station toward Sri Lanka’s southern coast, enjoying changing landscapes along the way.

By evening, we reached Bentota, known for its stunning beaches along the Indian Ocean and calm coastal atmosphere.

Day 7 – Bentota Experiences & Colombo City Tour

The day began with a visit to a Turtle Hatchery, a conservation center where injured sea turtles are treated and baby turtles are protected before being released into the sea.

We then enjoyed a peaceful Madu River Boat Safari, cruising through serene mangrove forests — a calm and scenic experience.

The Colombo city tour covered major attractions including the Sri Lankan Parliament at Kotte, Gangaramaya Temple, the iconic Lotus Tower, and modern Colombo landmarks showcasing the city’s vibrant life.
